California Infill Parcel Locator

This site is hosted on a Dell PowerEdge server, running Windows Small Business Server 2003. The HTML pages were largely hand-coded using Notepad2. Graphics were created and edited using Adobe Photoshop. Detailed credits for the illustrative photos are available.
The Parcel Locator application is based on ArcIMS 9 technology, using the ActiveX Connector option. Javascript is used extensively to aid the interface between the user and the server.
All the map files used in the Parcel Locator have the following coordinate system:

    False_Easting: 0.000000
    False_Northing: -4000000.000000
    Central_Meridian: -120.000000
    Standard_Parallel_1: 34.000000

    Latitude_Of_Origin: 0.000000
    GCS_North_American_1927
    Datum: D_North_American_1927

This site was designed and built by Thomas H. Rogers, in fulfillment of the Client Report requirement for the Masters of City Planning (MCP) degree at the Department of City and Regional Planning (DCRP), UC Berkeley. Eric Zhang of the GISC provided extensive and invaluable support during this process. This project was supervised by Professor John D. Landis and Lecturer Heather Hood.
